Agility becomes first forwarder to meet highest standards for sensitive pharma and biotech shipments at Envirotainer.
Agility is the first freight forwarder to receive QEP* expert accreditation from Envirotainer for its cold chain management of pharma and life sciences products.
In 2017, on its ten-year anniversary, QEP started recognizing stations at either basic, advanced or expert levels. To achieve QEP expert recognition, a QEP-accredited provider must have either IATA CEIV or a Good Distribution Practices (GDP) certification along with dedicated +15°C to +25°C pharma storage and manage at least 15 Envirotainer containers per month.
“QEP expert accreditation is only for Envirotainer partners having the highest level of training and quality, along with the physical capabilities and extensive experience handling pharmaceutical products. I would like to congratulate Agility for being the first forwarder to achieve this,” explains Chris Fore, Compliance Manager at Envirotainer.
“Pharmaceutical logistics is complex, and there isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach for customers. As a result, we work with our suppliers to maintain the highest level of quality and standards. Being the first freight forwarder to receive the expert certification from Envirotainer is proof of these efforts,” said Eric ten Kate, Global Vice President, Life Sciences at Agility.
*The Qualified Envirotainer Provider Training and Quality Program (QEP) recognizes transport service providers who demonstrate their ability to properly manage Envirotainer container shipments in accordance with industry Good Distribution Practices.
